OnlyFans Bans ‘Sexually Explicit Conduct,’ but Nudity Still Allowed

OnlyFans will ban sexually explicit conduct beginning October 1 as part of a major policy update intended to align the platform with financial institutions’ requirements.

Under the updated Acceptable Use Policy, explicit sexual acts will no longer be permitted. Creators may continue to post nudity that complies with the new rules, which emphasize safety, community respect and artistic expression without explicit sexual content.

The policy change responds to concerns from payment processors and banking partners and is aimed at ensuring continued financial stability and service continuity for creators and subscribers.

OnlyFans said the move could broaden its audience, attract more mainstream advertisers and enable the platform to explore a wider range of content opportunities.

The company said it will provide resources to help creators adapt to the new standards, promote sustainable growth and maintain a secure environment while enabling creators to monetize their work amid evolving industry regulations and financial pressures.
