OnlyFans has suspended a planned ban on sexually explicit content that was scheduled to take effect on October 1.
The company said the reversal follows discussions with banking and payment partners and that it secured assurances allowing adult content to remain on the platform. OnlyFans said the move preserves an income stream for creators who rely on sexually explicit material.
OnlyFans also said it will publish updated policies designed to balance creator rights with safety and regulatory compliance. The company framed the decision as part of its effort to support a diverse creator community while addressing financial and legal concerns.
The suspension ensures creators can continue monetizing on the platform without migrating to alternative sites, according to OnlyFans. The company said it will communicate the policy changes to users in the coming weeks.
