OnlyFans Bans ‘Sexually Explicit Conduct,’ but Nudity Is Still Okay

OnlyFans will ban uploads depicting “sexually explicit conduct” starting October 1, the platform said, while continuing to allow content featuring nudity that complies with its Acceptable Use Policy.

The policy change follows pressure from payment processors and financial institutions and is presented as a move to ensure the platform’s long-term sustainability and compliance with the financial ecosystem.

OnlyFans said it will communicate the changes to creators and provide support to help them adapt their content and monetization strategies. Creators who continue to publish nudity must follow the platform’s rules and community standards.

The platform, which hosts millions of creators and more than 130 million users, framed the update as a response to evolving regulatory and commercial constraints while aiming to preserve a space for exclusive content and creator expression.
