OnlyFans CEO Denies Platform Is Exclusively for ‘Sexy Content’

OnlyFans CEO Keily Blair disputed the notion that the platform exists solely for adult content, saying sexual material represents only one segment of a broader content ecosystem. Launched in 2016, the company says it has paid creators more than $20 billion in total, including over $5 billion in the fiscal year ending Nov. 30, 2023.

Blair emphasized that OnlyFans supports a wide range of creators, from fitness instructors and musicians to artists, chefs, educators and vloggers. The platform’s subscription and direct-fan interaction tools allow creators to control their content, build recurring revenue and engage communities.

OnlyFans has also invested in safety features and compliance processes intended to create a safer environment for creators and subscribers. The company says those measures are part of ongoing efforts to broaden its user base beyond adult entertainment.

By promoting creator empowerment, diversified content and platform improvements, OnlyFans aims to maintain its role in the evolving digital creator economy and expand opportunities across multiple content genres.
